Spontaneous Crafting
I can't help myself!
I began altering this top by cutting off the sleeves, neck and bottom hem, then just kept going.
I cut a deep V into the front of the shirt and cut the armholes a bit longer. then I got the idea to cut off the side seems and lace up each side. this was the most challenging part, since I had to do some measuring to make sure the holes were evenly spaced and matched the other side.
Once all of the cutting and lacing was finished I decided it needed something. So I block printed a few bees onto the top at random places (there are 2 on the front and one on the back)
And, I love how it turned out!
by the way, I'm wearing a bikini top underneath. And, the skirt is from The Gap, and used to be white. I dyed it brown.

Sunny Summer Style
Maybe it's the sunny Summer days that we are being graced with this season that has lead me to be so drawn to golden shades of yellow. It has recently become one of my current favorite colors.
I actually don't own anything in this color. But, I plan to change that very soon!
Here are a few Sunny Yellow items that are perfect for the bright warm days ahead:

I adore this top! It's the perfect shade of yellow, it's got ruffles, and a squirrel and acorns! Perfection!
Honestly, I'm not certain that I could ever pull off the look of this gorgeous flower hair clip, but it's truly amazing, like a little bit of sunshine atop her head!
These ballet flats have been on my list of Someday Footwear for so long,(yes I have that list). I love everything about them, especially the color.
